2014 Walk for Brain Injury Sacramento featuring Speech by Noe Cruz

March was Brain Injury Awareness Month and my team and I helped raise awareness of traumatic brain injury (TBI) in Sacramento.

On March 13th I hosted, #Network4Cause Sacramento Benefiting Brain Injury Association of California: Walk for Brain Injury Sacramento. I’m happy to report, it was a huge success! Funds were raised for the Walk for Brain Injury Sacramento Scholarship, which provided event registration to local TBI survivors. View pictures on Facebook

On March 30th, we hosted a booth and walk team at Walk for Brain Injury Sacramento. I also invited a young man and TBI survivor I recently met, Noe Cruz, to speak — he did a fantastic job! View pictures on Facebook

Noe Cruz was ejected from a horse in 2012, fracturing his skull and sending him into a 2 month coma.  In the following year, he endured multiple surgeries while struggling through the loss of mobility, hearing, vision and cognitive abilities. Watch the video to hear his speech and learn about his story.
